How do I access the District Readiness Tool?
You can access the digital version here, or print it to use at your next leadership meeting.
How is the training delivered?
This training can be delivered in groups by school or district facilitators, virtually by Cultivate facilitators, or asynchronously to individuals. For those using asynchronous learning, the depth of learning and application is greatly enhanced with opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and skill practice. It is recommended that you consider how to include these activities beyond the asynchronous learning format.
How long is each lesson?
Each in-person or virtual professional development session takes 50-60 minutes and includes a brief MicroPD video and small group discussion time. Asynchronous learning sessions will take 20-25 minutes per lesson and include an instructional video with embedded questions.
Does this training require a specific curriculum?
No. The skills taught can be applied regardless of curriculum used.
What languages are supported by the training?
All MicroPD videos are narrated in English and have English and Spanish subtitles. Agendas, Quick Guides, Slide decks are also available in Spanish and English.
Do we have to do an entire series in order?
Each content area includes essential knowledge and skills related to the topic. Depending on the skill and experience level of the participants, lessons can be used as a series or stand-alone topics.
What is the cost for the training?
The cost depends on the ESD or district size, number of users and the delivery method chosen. An example range for one small district accessing 10 topics with two facilitators (without direct support from Cultivate) is around $4,000.00.
